The importance of Health and Safety

Achieving CHAS Elite reflects the work we have undertaken behind the scenes to review, strengthen, and demonstrate the quality of our health and safety management systems.
What is CHAS?
The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) is one of the UK’s leading health and safety accreditation bodies. It allows contractors to demonstrate that they meet recognised standards for health and safety compliance and risk management.
There are three levels of CHAS accreditation:
- CHAS Standard – demonstrating compliance with SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) requirements
- CHAS Advanced – incorporating PAS 91 pre-qualification requirements
- CHAS Elite – the most comprehensive level, demonstrating excellence across health and safety management and wider business practices
Achieving CHAS Elite means that our systems, procedures, and working practices have been independently assessed and verified to meet the highest standards.
